ROLE:
CUC is currently seeking a Labourer to join our team in Nanaimo, BC due to an increase in recent work volume. This key member of our construction team will provide general labour duties while working on the paving crew. This includes, but is not limited to hand digging, raking, tamping, swamping, concrete restoration, driving and over all physical labour.

Canadian Utility Construction (CUC), a Quanta Services company, provides quality underground construction services to utility companies throughout Western Canada. We specialize in a full range of construction and maintenance services for the Natural Gas Distribution and Transmission industry. CUC’s paving division looks after a full range of concrete/asphalt restoration pertaining to the Fortis BC gas distribution system. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Some Labour experience, preferably in civil underground work, concrete/paving work and an awareness of working around heavy equipment
- Will to learn with a positive attitude
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong belief in Live Safe

- $26.80 per hour
